Enhancing The Guest Experience

Of all the projects we've undertaken at Weathertop Mountain Inn lately, the one most likely to be noticed by our guests is the refrigerator upgrade in the guest rooms.

Now, guests have sufficient fridge capacity to hold 60 cans of Heady Topper, and the freezer is larger enough to hold 12 pints of Ben & Jerry's latest flavors, with room to spare for another dozen Cherry Garcia Pops! How's that for an upgrade?

But don't take our word for it. Come visit Weathertop Mountain Inn & The Mad River Valley this summer and prove it to yourself...

HOPING TO SEE YOU SOON!

Sometimes You Just Get Lucky

Today I did something I have NEVER EVER done before...I stood in line for beer...

I happened to be driving past the VG at 7:55 this morning and there was already a line waiting for the days delivery of Heady Topper. Not a huge line, but a line. Waiting for beer at a time when many folks are having their first cup of coffee. So I laughed and kept going. When I passed by again at 9:00, the line was still there. It wasn't any longer than before, AND the delivery truck was in the parking lot, so I figured what the heck.

Within only a few minutes the doors opened and another surprise was waiting. In addition to purchasing a case of Heady Topper, I was also able to get my hands on a case of Lawson's Sip Of Sunshine AND a 12-pack of Lawson's latest offering in cans - Super Session #2.

Sometimes you just get lucky...I probably should have bought a lottery ticket before leaving the VG...

Go For The Gose!

We recently added Lost Nation Brewing "Gose" to our beer portfolio at Weathertop Mountain Inn. For some, Gose is a developed taste, but for those who love it, well...they love it! It is salty, tart & herbal...very refreshing. And at 4.5% ABV...very crushable.

We think it is the perfect beverage for a warm summer day after working out in the gardens or after a long hike (after a glass of water, of course...).

Give it a try...

What's On Tap?

We're starting off the winter season with two draft offerings from Trapp Lager Brewery:

  • Golden Helles - a crisp, filtered session lager with a nice hop balance; 5.0% ABV
  • Trösten Bier - a winter-warming black lager with roasted malt, rich flavor & enough hops for a clean finish; 6.2% ABV

As always, we also have Heady Topper from The Alchemist, the flagship of American Double IPAs (in our humble opinions...).

What's On Tap?

That's right...

To enjoy some of the local Vermont beers only available in kegs, we have added two draft lines at Weathertop Mountain Inn! Our current offerings are Trapp Golden Helles Lager and Lost Nation Rustic Ale. Golden Helles is a nicely balanced, golden-colored & filtered session lager with an ABV of 5.0%, while Rustic Ale is an amber-colored ale with more pronounced hop flavor (IBU: 40) and an ABV of 5.2%.

Enjoy autumn & the changing leaves in Vermont's Mad River Valley with a stay at Weathertop Mountain Inn. While here, sip a pint of each brew, and then move on to a can of Heady Topper. We'd say you've had the ultimate Triple Play!

Cheers!
