General Inn Policies

General Inn Policies

  • Check-in time is 3 PM. Please contact us for instructions if arriving after 11 PM.
  • Check-out time is 11 AM.
  • The inn is smoke-free. Smoking is permitted outdoors, in designated areas.
  • Children 5 years of age & older are welcome at the Inn. For their safety and out of courtesy to other guests, children must be supervised while in the dining room & common areas. Additionally, they may not be left unaccompanied at the inn.
  • We accept pets with some restrictions & prior approval. Please see to our Pets Welcome page for details.
  • We are licensed by the State of Vermont for the sale of beer & wine. Beverages purchased from us may be consumed anywhere on premises, excluding the Hot Tub & Sauna. Guests are welcome to bring in their own beverages, but they may only be consumed within their private room.

Booking Terms & Conditions

  • Inn rates are quoted double occupancy and include a full breakfast each morning.
  • Minimum stay requirements apply on weekends, during foliage season and during holiday periods. Occasionally these minimums are waived, at which time a surcharge may apply to single night stays. The easiest way to determine availability is to contact us. Alternatively, you may go to our secure online booking site and enter your requested dates to check availability.
  • Maximum room occupancy is 2 persons, other than The Deere Room & The Rockwell Room which have maximum occupancies of 3 persons.
  • The additional person surcharge is $10 per day.
  • Discounts may apply for single occupancy or extended stays. See our Specials page for details.
  • Rates posted do not include a 9% Vermont Rooms & Meals Tax or a 4% Community Sponsorship Fee.
  • All rates are subject to change without notice.

Deposit & Cancellation Policies

Standard Deposit & Cancellation Policies

  • A valid credit card is required to secure all bookings.
  • We reserve the right to collect a 50% deposit, and will advise at time of booking.
  • The balance due will be collected at check-in.
  • Cancellations made more than 14 days prior to the scheduled arrival date are cheerfully accepted. If a deposit was collected, it will be refunded less a $25 processing fee.
  • Cancellations made within 14 days of the scheduled arrival date are subject to 100% of the total room charge.
  • Late arrivals, no-shows & early departures are responsible for the full amount of the reserved stay.
  • Cancellation fees will be waived to the extent that we are able to rebook the room without a loss of revenue.
  • To avoid any misunderstanding, all reservations & cancellations made through Weathertop Mountain Inn will receive a confirmation from the innkeepers, via e-mail, detailing any deposit collected and the cancellation policy in effect for the reservation.

Group Policies

  • This applies to bookings via Expedia®, Travelocity®, Hotels.com®, Booking.com®, etc.
  • Please review their deposit & cancellation policies, which they post online, VERY CAREFULLY prior to booking. While these sites offer a level of convenience, their policies are more stringent than our direct booking terms.
  • If you have any questions regarding their published policies, you should contact them directly PRIOR to making a reservation.
  • Alternatively, you may contact us directly to secure your booking. Direct booking guarantees you the lowest available rates, as well as access to any available specials & packages. WEATHERTOP WILL NEVER BE LISTED ON A 3rd-PARTY WEBSITE AT LOWER RATES.
